Dr. Day

Today was a long day at the doctors. Camrie started us off this morning with her 2 month check-up. She is now 11 lbs. 2 oz. and is 23 inches long. She had to get some shots and Dayton was the protective older brother and tried to help her out by telling the nurse, "don't give my Camrie shots, don't give my Camrie shots". He nor Camrie was very happy when he lost.
Then we were off to Salt Lake to get Dayton's eyes checked out. It was just a check up to make sure they are continuing to develop correctly from him being pre-mature. On the way there he said, "I don't want to go to the doctor, I don't want to get shots". I let him know they just wanted to look at his eyes, no shots. All three of us are glad this day is over.

Everything was going well till the shots came, and Camrie had to have 4. As you can see she was not happy. And then she just gave up an took a nap, she was not herself all day.

They gave Dayton some new shades. After the check up and bright lights in his eyes, the sun makes his eyes extra sensitive, so they give him sun glasses to help him adjust. Dayton just thought it made him extra cool.

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny found us early Sunday morning and had brought lots of goodies. There was a basket full of chocolates, candies and toys for the kids, and hidden eggs for Dayton. He found them all in record time and even ate some candy before church. Dayton tried to share his candy with Camrie but his mean mom would not let him. Dayton scored with new spider-man toys, but I think his highlight was his new transformer. Both Dayton and Camrie were all dressed up in their new Easter clothes... Dayton looking sharp and Camrie as cute as ever. We had a great time talking to grandparents and even saw some family on the video cam. Dayton has a little candy left and keeps asking when the Easter Bunny is coming back.

Bed Time

Saturday night we were getting the kids ready for bed. Dayton had already had his bath and was in his pj's and I was getting ready to bath Camrie. I asked Kyle to take Dayton to bed while I took care of Camrie and immediately Dayton started to argue, "I'm not tired, I don't want to read bookies, I don't want to go to bed." Kyle then said, "you don't have to go to bed, just come up here and lay by me and rub my feet." Dayton then replied as he was sliding off the bed, "I can't, I'm tired, I have to go to bed".

I am pretty sure I am going to try that next time Kyle wants me to rub his feet!

Camrie's Blessing Day

Sunday morning came early after a late Saturday night of fun playing games. Church starts at 9 and we had a lot of people to get ready to get their for the blessing. Kyle gave a beautiful blessing to Camrie and she was alert staring around the whole time listening to what he said. Big brother Dayton was showing his support by playing with cars and asking for more crayons to color with during the blessing. Grandma Dives stopped over to see everyone and shared some family time with all of us that were here.

Easter Egg Hunt

Unlike most weekends this one was filled with fun and excitement. It started Saturday afternoon when Jaci and Mitch arrived followed by the Provo Deckers plus Jenny. Then not far behind came the Wakley's. We started the evening off with an Easter egg hunt and got all the kids sugared up. We then had hamburgers and hot dogs capped off with adult treats when all the kids went to bed. Kyon saw our treats when he snuck down and wasn't happy about it. Played a little bit of mafia and everyone behaved for the most part.

Dayton's thumb

I found this to be a cute story, but Kyle deleted it so I guess he did not enjoy it as I did,
but here it is again...

The other day I found a cut on Dayton's thumb that was bleeding so I put a band-aid on it. Then the next day the band-aid fell off and he wanted another one put on. I told him I would in a little while, but I wanted it to air out. After arguing with me for a few minutes he said fine and walked away. A few minutes later I noticed he had his thumb to his ear and I asked him what he was doing. He looked at me and said "I'm letting my owie ear out".

Pretty in Pink

Camrie and I had a little girls time the other day while Dayton was asleep. I needed to cut her nails so she would stop scratching herself. Well, while I was at it I decided to paint them as well. She kept moving her hands so I had to be very quick, but now they are pretty hot pink.

She has also started smiling. she does not do it often, but every now and then we can get a little grin out of her. We love it.

House under Construction

We have had people in and out of the house the last few days fixing our shower and kitchen floor. I had to watch Dayton the whole time or I would find him right next to the worker. I kept telling him to back up they needed space. Every time I said that he would then ask the guy... "do you need space"? There was one guy who was here in and out for 2 days and Dayton loved to follow him around... the only problem was that he kept calling him the "bad guy". No matter how many times I told him he was not a bad guy, he was a fixer guy he would just not listen and still called him a bad guy. All I have to say is that I am glad Dayton is still hard to understand, cause I don't think he understood anything Dayton said.
