Christmas Season

We celebrated for days before Christmas even got here. We started with Kyle's birthday and just kept on having fun.
Thursday the 19th was Kyle's birthday and the last day the kids had school before Christmas break.  We got lots of snow and the kids had class parties.
Time for presents and candy.  The kids were all eyeing Dad's candy but he ate it all by himself.
Kyle does not love cake so I went for plan B, donuts for everybody.
The next night we took Dad out on the town.
All you can eat pizza.
And dessert.
Then we drove around to see some Christmas lights.  It was freezing, but so pretty.
The special Christmas Sunday at church.  Then after church we drove down to Papa and Nana's house in Provo for our Decker Christmas.
Playing games with everybody who could make it.
Christmas presents from Papa and Nana.
McKell, Emery, and Camrie. 3 of the 5 but they all got the same pj's and loved it.
Papa even pulled out a blast from the past.  I can't believe he still has these, they are older then me.  I guess there was a time all my family had matching pj's, but it was before my time.  It made for a great laugh.
Reading The Night Before Christmas to all the big and little kids.
All the grand-kids in their new pj's ready for the story.
Thanks Nana and Papa for the fun night and the gifts.  Nana and Papa were going to spend Christmas with us, but Nana had a nasty fall and broke her ankle, so we brought Christmas to her.  We missed them on Christmas, but had a great night.
On Christmas Eve, Kyle took Dayton and Camrie to a movie so Taryn could get a nap and I could finish some wrapping.  It was a good way to kill some time for the longest day of the year waiting for Santa.
Christmas morning. Santa came and brought gifts and candy.
Time for presents under the tree. Gifts from Dad and Mom and Grandparents from New York and Utah.
Lots of new earrings.
Dayton could hardly contain himself, I think he was done opening his gifts first.  He was so fast I hardly saw him open anything.
It took Taryn a little while to wake up get into opening gifts.  She was happy with just one and wanted to open it right then, but she caught on and opened them all before too long.
All that paper,  all the time wrapping and it was over in 45 min.
Christmas kisses.
Time to play.
Fun messes.
We got the kids bean bag filler, that was really fun.
All those gifts and this was probably her favorite, her very own lip gloss.  You can't tell but it is all over her lips and she applied it about every minute until we were able to distract her long enough to take it away.
After the craziness.
Everybody got a new blanket.
After presents we went to our friends house for a Christmas brunch.  It was fun and delicious.
Pancakes, ham, eggs, potato's and bacon.
After some play time/nap time we took the kids to see the new movie Frozen.  It was a great movie and a great Christmas.

It's Beginning To Look Like Christmas

This year we saved the best for last. We had all the Christmas decorations up before Thanksgiving, but we saved the tree for the day after.
Our 3 elves.
Getting all the ornaments out.
Lots of Yankees on our tree.
Thanks to Dad we can even reach the top.
Our special tree topper.  One of these years we will get a nice star or angel, but for now the Yankee hat seems to fit just right.
All done and ready for Needle Nose.  The kids loved getting candy every morning, Taryn even checked a few times a day just in case.
