Girl's Day

Camrie and I spent the day with some of our favorite girls for women's conference. We were missing a few, but were excited to be with those that could come.
We started the evening eating at Cafe Rio.
Then back to Nana's house to listen to conference and dessert, but the night did not end there.
We all then headed over to the theater where they were performing one of my favorite plays,   Oklahoma. I was excited for Camrie to see it with me.
Here is the crew waiting for the show.
Camrie with her fun cousins.
It was such a fun night. After the show Camrie got to talk to some of the cast.
This is Lori.

Will.
The Peddler was so funny. He was one of our favorites.

And Curly. They all did such a good job.
On Monday we met up again with Nana, Kim, and Tayla in Salt Lake.
We ate lunch at the top of the Joseph Smith building. It has an amazing view of Salt Lake and the temple.
It was pouring all day but that did not stop us from having our fun. We took a tour of Brigham Young's house and the church first office building.
It is amazing the things they have preserved for all these years.
One of the museums had tons of stuff to touch and read about. They have a replica of the gold plates that you can look at and try to lift. We were shocked at how heavy they were weighing about 50 lbs.
This angel Moroni is also a replica of the ones on the temples. It used to be on an old church and is 10'1" tall. The one on the Salt Lake temple is 12'4"
Then we headed over to city creek for some shopping and ice cream. Tayla and Camrie loved to play in the fountains.

Ryder to the E.R.

We tried so hard to keep the sickness away, but the germs found their way to Ryder. He got sick on Sunday and by Wednesday he was not eating much and had a fever on and off. We took him to the E.R. to check his oxygen levels and maybe get some fluids.
The poor thing, they picked and poked him for what seemed like hours. We were waiting for his IV so he could get some fluids and then we could go home.
Getting the pick line in for his IV was so sad. Then to make sure he did not pull it out they wrapped his whole arm. As if that was not bad enough it was his left arm and that is the thumb he likes to suck.
Then after more waiting they came back and said that he tested positive for RSV and he was going to be admitted.
So Ryder and I settled into our new room for three days while they monitored him. He was on day four and the worst days are usually five and six. Luckily he did not get worse and have to be sent to Primary Children's Hospital.
By Friday he was feeling much better and we were both ready to go home. Thank goodness for doctors and medicine to help kick the sickness out of his system. It will be another 3 to 4 weeks before he is all better, but the scare is over.
We were so happy to have our smiley Ryder back.

Pac 12 Tournament

This is the second year that Kyle and Dayton made their way to Vegas for the big tournament. Dayton is already talking about next year and what he hopes is an annual trip to the Pac 12 Tourney.
A little pre-game entertainment. I guess this is THE trophy.
Dayton hanging out with the The Glove (Gary Payton).
Vegas has some awesome things to see.
They saw nine games in four days.
They scored some awesome seats for the championship game. 4th row center court. Thanks to a friend who hooked them up. And to make it even better, it was an awesome game. I recorded the game to see if I could see them and I did a bunch of times.
Kyle and Darrick. We have been friends since college and they were kind enough to let Dayton and Kyle stay with them for the trip and Dr. Darrick was able to get the great tickets.

What do you do when you have 5 days without your husband and you are stuck home. I was going to watch all my shows that I never have time to watch, but instead I re-did our bedroom. It is so fun and bright.
I also took the kids out to dinner then to get candy and a movie. We could not let the big boys have all the fun. Chick-fil-a for dinner, they even got to play in the play place for like an hour.
Time for popcorn and a movie. You just never know what you are going to get with Jaren.
Then they tell you they are not tired and want to watch another movie. Whatever works to get them to sleep.
