Like usual Dayton started celebrating his birthday a few days early. It is a rare thing to have a free Saturday with this kid so we took advantage of the one we had and Dayton took a bunch of friends to Lagoon for his party.
This present came early in the mail so of course he had to open it. New socks and money from Nana and Papa Decker. He put the new socks on right after he opened them.
Jody and I dropped the boys off at Lagoon to play and we went across the street to Farmington Station. We spent the day together shopping and treating ourselves since it was our birthdays too. We took a break to take Dayton and his friends some pizza.

I think this had been the hardest birthday for me yet. I can't believe this boy is 12.
He is such a great kid and so fun to be around. He is a star athlete and everyone's friend.
Every year I give him the option to stay home on his birthday and he always says no, but this year he said yes. So we spent the whole day celebrating. Here he is having breakfast in bed, my bed!

I love that this kid loves to read. He got the Maze Runner series and the 6th book in the Michael Vey series. He also got some clothes, a new Yankee hat and Nike shoes from Grandma Jody.
He also got new ping pong paddles to play with his friends and very nice expensive head phones from Grandpa Bill that he has been using for the last month.
This kid is a wild man.
Birthdays would not be complete with out going through the spanking machine.

Dayton picked an ice-cream cake. Vanilla on the bottom, Oreo's in the middle, mint chip then frosting. Jaren kept blowing the candles out before Dayton could so we had to keep lighting them so I could get a picture.

He had Kane over to hang out, somehow the gorilla mask came out.
And a week later it was Grandma Jody's birthday and we got to spend it with her instead of just talking to her on the phone. Camrie asked her what she wanted and all her favorite things and made a list of what we should do. We did everything on that list.
First thing is the candy poster. You can see that Jaren is a huge help.
We made her waffles with whip cream for breakfast. The kids probably spit all over her waffles helping her blow out the candle.
We did not take enough pictures, but we took grandma shopping all day. Then we had her favorite pizza for dinner and did family movie night with pop corn and candy for her cake. And don't forget the presents. The kids all picked out some of her favorite things and wrapped them up for her.
