Jaren's 4th Birthday

This crazy kid turned 4. It is an understatement to say that our family would not be the same without him. He can be your best friend and your worst enemy all in the same hour. He is smart, funny, and loves to collect things in his room. If you can't find your toothbrush there is a good chance it is in his pillowcase. You never know what you are going to get and we wouldn't change a thing.
Out to dinner with Dad and Mom to Texas Road House.
This is our Jaren...
We thought he would love sitting on the saddle while they cheered happy birthday, but we could not even get him to sit on it.
Finally on our way out the door when nobody was looking he sat on it for me.
Ryder enjoyed the cake more than anyone.
We spent Saturday at Deck's cabin, celebrated with cake and presents on Sunday so we could spend Memorial Day at the pool swimming with cousins. Pretty great start to turning 4.

End Of School 2018

The month of May was busy, fun, exciting, and exhausting. We had graduation parties, end of school projects, Mother's Day, award shows, and field day to name a few.
No matter what we are celebrating the kids always have a fun time with cousins. Celebrating Ashley's BYU graduation.
Dayton asked me to the movies to see the new Avengers. I told him he could go see it with friends but he said that he wanted to see it with me. I'm not about to argue with that, plus he is not stupid, he knew I would pay and I was not about to miss this chance to hang out with him.
For Mother's Day the activity day girls invited their mom's to a spa day. They rubbed lotion on our feet and painted our toe nails.
The best day of the whole year is field day. Our school goes all out and the kids love every minute of it. I work one of the booths and love being with the kids.
Camrie and her friends Aubrey and London.
Jaren spent hours jumping in each bounce house.
I worked at the hair spray booth the whole day. Jaren would not let me color his hair, but after his sisters got their's done he finally let me.

In line for the huge slip-n-slide.
All these 7th graders skipped school to help out at field day. They did help, but they also played.
One of the booths was an obstacle course where you were covered in chalk dust.
And to end the best day ever with a bang the fire department comes out to spray all the kids. It is a favorite tradition all the kids love.
The last day of 4th grade and 1st grade.
The last day of 7th grade. Dayton ended the year with a 4.0 and high honors.
To celebrate the last day of school we took the kids out for ice cream. Ryder seemed to enjoy it the most. (Camrie was at an end of the year school party).

Mother Daughter Day

I finally made it on a field trip with Camrie. We got to go to the Air and Space museum and then a big rock show. The fourth graders have been learning all about rocks and minerals and this was fun for them to go explore.
Camrie and her partner Tiliey on a scavenger hunt in the museum.
Unfortunately the weather was freezing outside so lunch at the park was not so fun, but we had a great day anyway. I picked up lunch for me and Camrie and she was determined to have her ice cram in spite of the cold. So we ate it in the car.
One of the highlights was the guy at the rock show sold rocks, then let you cut them in half and it showed you all the crystals inside.
