Sleep-Over in Logan

Over Christmas break we went and stayed the night in Logan with my brother Cache and his family. We used to live by each other in Virginia but then we moved. So it is not as close as living down the street, but Logan is a lot closer then Virginia. It was fun to see their new house and spend some time together again.

We were also able to meet up with my sister Kim and her family for the evening. Here are the kids, Tayla, McKell, Camrie, Marae holding Taryn, Kaden, Dayton, Kyon and Cole. I love that cousins and friends are the same thing to all these kids.

Funny faces.

We have been lucky to have some really nice weather and got to to play outside. Here we are playing good old SPUD.

The girls opted for a joy ride.

More games, and look at the awesome view.

Taryn stayed safe inside most the time.

She is such a happy baby, just playing with some toys.

And trying to crawl. She is very close, she rolls and scoots all over and already finds her way to things she should not have.

Playing on their playground and in some wet sand. It was so nice to play outside again.

The kids were so cute with Taryn. Here is Dawson trying to play with her.

And McKell wanting to hold her.

Most the time these two monkeys were found playing all kinds of games and things together.

And these three were together, mostly playing the Wii.

Christmas Finally Came

The kids could hardly wait for Christmas to come this year. I am sure because of all Camrie's prayers for Santa to not be late he made sure to stop by our house.
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve down in Provo with cousins and family. The kids were ready to go about 8am, but the party did not start till about 4. We had everything you could have wanted for dinner then waisted no time moving to the program. We have lots of traditions from playing games to opening pj's, to acting out the Birth of Christ. All of which we did and the kids were so cute and had such a good time, but I forgot my camera, so not a single picture.

Then we came home that night, put out some cookies for Santa and went to bed.
Christmas morning came and was filled with joy and lots of surprises.

Here the kids are after church in their new Christmas church clothes.

Camrie feeding her new baby that talks to her and Dayton showing off his new cell phone, (yes it is a real phone with his own number).

Taryn enjoying her favorite part of Christmas. She kept eating it and we kept trying to take it away.

Santa brought Camrie a new pretty "big girl bike."

Santa brought Dayton an electric motor scooter.

Ready to ride.

Taryn with her Christmas stuff.

And just like that it's over. Time to play.

Trying out our new wheels.

It was just too much fun for one day. Kyle, Taryn, and I all took naps while Dayton and Camrie played all day. Then we had popcorn and watched a movie. It was a perfect day.

Thanksgiving Holiday

We had a quiet Thanksgiving this year with our little family and Grandma Jody. It was an all day pj day filled with food and too much football. We had all the good food anybody could ask for and after we were all done it looked as though nobody had eaten yet. Lucky for us, plenty of left overs.
The kids ready to eat and excited to use real plates and fancy glasses. Poor Taryn slept through the whole dinner.
Man of the house taking charge.
And here is what he did the rest of the day.
Friday in Idaho.
We spent the day in Idaho with my family. We had lunch, made kits for a local shelter, and played all day.
All done with ours.
Grandma Jody taking care of Taryn.
All the kids/helpers all done with the kits.
On to gingerbread houses. A Decker tradition now passed on to our kids. The kids grabbed a buddy and some candy and went to work. Dayton and Gracy.
Camrie and Carson.
Grandma trying to help Camrie, but poor Grandma kept getting yelled at that she was doing it wrong.
Dayton letting Grandma help him.
He thought it was pretty neat having both Grandmas with him at the same time.
Papa and Nana Decker with the kids.
Arts and Crafts.
Nana came prepared with coloring, painting, cutting, and stickers.
Carson keeping a close eye on Taryn.
While the little kids colored the big kids played a few games of flicker ball.
Time for Christmas.
Kyle putting up the tree with some helpers.
Time to decorate.
Taryn checking things out, chewing on anything she can get her hands on. We hope those teeth come in soon.
Still decorating. The kids had to put every last one on.
And here is our angle on the top.
