Our baby is 2

Taryn had a birthday last week and turned 2.  We tried our hardest to make it as fun and special for her as we could but she did not have a clue what that it was "her" birthday.  One funny thing was every time we said "happy birthday" she said "happy birthday" right back to us.  Oh well, we tried and it was a fun day.
Birthday breakfast.
Kyle took work off a little early and we all went out for lunch and games at Fat Cats.
We all played glow-in-the-dark mini golf.
Then we moved on to bowling.  Taryn cheered as soon as she let go of the ball the whole way down the lane until it hit the pins.
Dayton and Camrie both agreed that they were having a great time on Taryn's birthday.
 Time for presents.
 New hat.
She opened every one all by herself.
New water play table to get wet with.
Ice cream cake.
Took a few tries but she blew out the candles.
Melted ice cream is yummy and messy.

A Weekend to Remember

For Memorial Day weekend we were looking for something fun to do, and we were invited to go ride some UTV's.  I have never done anything like this and it seemed like a lot of fun.  Some how the UTV rental turned into camping for the weekend.  I am not sure what got into Kyle but he agreed, and somehow I was talked into going.  It was so not what I wanted to do that weekend or ever, but we ended up having a really good time.
With just a few hours notice we packed up and headed to the mountains.  The kids were so excited, but had no idea what camping was or what we were in for.
 Sitting by the camp fire.
Taryn found a nice pile of ashes to play with.  It kept her busy and in one spot, so I let her play in it.
 Getting some fire wood.

Our wood pile.

Roasting some marshmallows.
 Playing by the little pond.
Trying to stay warm by the fire.  The nights were very very cold.
Already playing while waiting for breakfast.
Fun in the tents.
We went on a hike with all the kids.  Some of it was on a trail and some of it we made as we walked.
We all got a little target practice in.
This is the first time I have ever shot a gun.  It was our friends 22.
Ready to ride.
Taryn fell asleep on and off and cried most the time because it was too bumpy to sleep.
Poor baby. So sad, so tired, and dirt everywhere.
Taking a break to have a picnic and enjoying the view.
A little traumatized. She was ok as long as we were not moving.
Just hanging around.
Just a cute picture of Taryn.  She found a nice man who shared his cowboy hat and she became his best buddy.
