Christmas Tree Time

We decided to start a new tradition with our kids this year.  We wanted to get a real tree and cut it down ourselves.  This is something both Kyle and I grew up doing and we wanted our kids to experience it too.  It was a little more of an adventure then we remembered, but hopefully our kids enjoyed it.
Getting to the tree farm.
We walked around for a while to make sure we found just the right one.
Cute Camrie looking around.
Taryn liked this one that was just her size.
We found it and just in time before it got too dark.  It was nice and tall and fat. After Kyle Chopped it down, we got it tied onto the car and then in the house.  It was quite a mess and we had sap all over us but our tree was perfect.
Time to make it look pretty.  This is where the kids come in.
Together they hung all the ornaments.
Even Jaren liked the tree.
Thank goodness Jaren was not too mobile so the tree was pretty safe from little fingers pulling at it.

Thanksgiving Break

Family fun canter was a great place to see some cousins and play on a cold rainy day during Thanksgiving break.
McKell, Camrie and Taryn on the frog ride.
Taryn and Dawson on the frog ride.   Taryn was the winner when it came to this ride. I stopped counting after 30+ times of her riding it.
They also did the rock wall.  Dayton and Camrie were champs.  They got their belt on and went right to the top.
This is as far as Taryn made it.  She was not a fan.
Dayton and Kaden. They went on this more then a few times.
McKell and Camrie also went all the way to the top several times.
We also played some mini golf, and lazer tag.  Kyle and Cache joined in on the laser tag.
Taryn did not need a club to play mini golf.  She took on more of a bowling approach.
Papa and Nana Decker came to stay with us the night before Thanksgiving.  Nana and the kids made their own pizzas and we made 6 pies.
