Grand Turk Cruise

Every once in a while you get to do something really selfish and fun.  This was one of those weeks. Along with some friends we booked a cruise and headed south for some fun in the sun.
Good-bye Fort Lauderdale.
Enjoying our first of many tropical drinks.
Our first stop was the Princess Island.  Again, it was a little cooler then we would have liked, but still very relaxing.
The guys braved the cold and went snorkeling. Actually it was not that cold, and a lot warmer then Utah, so we were all happy to be there.
Trying to get an action shot of the guys, but this was as far as I was willing to go.
We also attended several nights of Karaoke.  But only one of us, Danny, was brave enough to actually get up and sing.
Sarah and Joe. Me and Kyle. Danny and Sarah.
Our second stop was Grand Turk.  Again not quite as warm as we were hopping, but still a great time.
We went to the Lighthouse landmark.
And had an amazing ocean view.
One of the highlights of the whole trip for me was seeing Kyle feed wild donkeys.
We tried another day at the beach.  The sun was a little crazy, it was really hot one minute and then we had some rain the next. But we did not let that stop us from playing in the water and laying on the beach and doing some shopping.
When we were not at the beach we were probably at the pool or eating or both.
Formal night. We all got dressed up and went out for a fancy evening.
One really funny thing about this night was somehow we mixed the nights and actually thought that formal night was the night before.  So we all got dressed to meet the group and realized that we were the only ones dressed up.  So we all went and changed and then got all dressed up again the next night.
On our last night on the ship playing one more trivia game.

Camrie's Birthday Party

The day after her birthday Camrie had her friends over for a party.  Girls are loud and crazy and it was a whole lot of fun.
The girls started things off by making bracelets.

This was not a planned part of the party.  Dayton came in to get some pizza and somehow dropped Camrie's whole birthday cake all over the floor.  I may have let out a scream that made all the little girls come running to see what happened.  And the next thing I know, they are all eating the cake off the floor. It was hilarious.
After some major clean up we opened presents.
It was very fun and crazy.  As each girl got up the rest of the girls would chant their name.  It was really fun.  But I did learn a good lesson.  Most the candy in the pinata was broken into tiny pieces.  It is a good thing I had extra, because that candy was destroyed.
Last on the party list was cake. But this time we did cupcakes and each girl got to frost and decorate their own.  It was pretty messy, but really fun and delicious.
We sang happy birthday, she blew out the candle and then they ate their masterpieces.

Camrie Is 8

Camrie picked cupcakes to take to her class.  Her birthday was on Sunday so they sang to her and celebrated on Friday.
Birthday Breakfast. She picked square pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream.
We let her open one gift early.  Grandma Jody sent a card with money and wanted to let Camrie go pick out her gift.
Camrie was so excited and could not wait to go shopping.
So Dad took Camrie to lunch and then shopping.
Later that day Jaren and Dad took a nap while Dayton, Taryn and I took Camrie to the movies to see Inside Out.
Sunday was the real day.
We hid them pretty good.
She found them.
Her new baptism dress.
New coat and clothes.
New toys, and a new boot on one foot and a new slipper on the other.
Time for cake.  It's hard to tell but it is a Frozen cake.
Thinking hard on that birthday wish.
