While visiting New York we took Dayton to Cooperstown to the baseball Hall Of Fame. Kyle nor I had ever been so it was a first for all of us. It was amazing and awesome to see all the things they had in showcases. It did not hurt for these guys to be Yankee fans, because there was plenty of Yankee history and memorabilia there. Dayton even found himself a new hat. It was fun to walk around the town and we were so glad Grandpa Bill came with us.
While we were gone Taryn had built herself a little fort and fell asleep at Grandpa Bills house.Monday, July 30, 2018

Palmyra
After spending a few days out of the car we packed back up and took the kids to Palmyra. The kids had never been there and it was so special to take them to places we have talked about and read about. This was one of the highlights of the trip for me to get to take my family to this memorable place.
Walking from the Smith farm to the Sacred Grove.
It is so amazing to walk through the sacred grove. To think about the things that happened there and feel the spirit that is there.
We spent over an hour just walking through the trees.
The Smith home where more then 11 people were usually living. It is so wonderful that this place has been preserved for us to see.

Another home the Smith family lived in until they ran out of money on the very last payment and had to move back to the other cabin.
A few miles away is the Palmyra temple.
Across from the Sacred Grove is the Hill Cumorah where there is a monument with the angel Moroni and a plaque telling about the gold plates and this special place.

New York
We finally made it to New York and gave Grandma Jody the best surprise of her life. There was screaming, laughing and happy tears. We stayed very busy playing with cousins, swimming, BBQ's, ice cream, climbing trees, windmills, birthdays and even played some rolo. (It was Jarens first time playing and he won 3 times).
