First Day of School

This year is going to be a busy one. 5 kids in 4 different schools and all different schedules.
Dayton is in 9th grade this year and is 5'5. I can't believe he is in High School.

Taryn is in 3rd Grade, has Mrs Edsinger for her teacher and is just over 4'4.
Camrie is in Mr. Hansen's 6th grade class. She is a Peer Leader, in the choir, and is just over 4'10".
Jaren is in a Pre-Kindergarten class at Quest Elementary and is 3'10.

We don't normally send our kids to school at 3 but Ryder is a little behind in his speech, so he gets to go to preschool this year. He goes twice a week and the school bus picks him up and brings him home. He is in Mrs Eve's class and is 3' tall.

Ryder loves school and really loves riding on the school bus, but it is a little exhausting.

Fun Weekend Away

We were looking for a fun thing to do as a family before the kids went back to school. Mitch and Jaci live in Boise and had invited us to visit so we finally did. We had so much fun, it was the perfect way to end the summer.

We stopped in Twin Falls for lunch and ended up doing a little sight seeing as it was so beautiful and and an amazing view. I was terrified that someone was going to fall, but luckily nobody got hurt.

They had an awesome map filled with pins of all the places people have come from.

While we were there we also went to see the Twin Falls Temple. Like all of the Temples it was beautiful and surrounded by flowers.
One of the bonuses of visiting the Bradshaw's is they have a boat and live 10 min from an awesome lake. We spent the whole day out on the water. It was the perfect sunny day and we had the whole lake to ourselves.

They had lots of toys and our kids were so brave and tried them all. Every time we stopped the kids jumped in and swam around. Then we would try a new tube or surfboard or water ski.

It was so much fun and a little exhausting.

It is no surprise that Jaren was our flag guy. Any time someone fell into the water he held the flag up high till we picked them up.
Boats really do just rock you to sleep.

This was a huge accomplishment to get Jaren to ride the EZ-Ski. There was a lot of bribing but we finally got him to get on. Then it did not take him long to not only ride it but he was doing fortnight dances while riding.
It is no surprise that the kids slept as hard as they played. We will definitely be going back to Boise for some more boating and cousin time.
