Our Baby

Taryn is getting too big too fast. We learn more about her little personality everyday and it is possible she is the best baby in the world. She is so quick to smile and hardly ever makes a peep. She loves attention and she will cuddle with anybody. There is nothing better then making her laugh and hearing her giggle.
Here she is giving daddy kisses.
Camrie loves to hold her and feed her and is very protective of her.
Here she is feeding her. Can you find Taryn? Camrie wanted to make sure she did not roll off the couch and that she was nice and warm.
I couldn't find Taryn until I went to the couch and found her surrounded with every blanket Camrie could find. And there she was sound asleep.
What a great big sister, though Taryn looks a little nervous.

Tricks and Treats

This was a great Halloween for us. The kids were really into it and we had tons of fun dressing up and eating candy.
Cleaning and getting ready to carve our pumpkins.
Dayton wanted just the right face this year and had a hard time deciding what he wanted. He finally went for a scary face.
We offered to let Grandma Jody (Kyle's mom) carve a pumpkin, but she picked holding Taryn.
Camrie got right to it. She dove in and cleaned all the guts out of her pumpkin.
Dayton was forced to grab some guts for a picture. He likes the idea better then actually doing it, and after we took these pictures he went to watch cartoons.
This is his real mad face, he did not want to get messy.
Grandma had the worst job. She got all the seeds out so we could cook them to eat. (A Spaulding tradition).
And this is Kyle. I wonder wonder where Camrie gets it from.
Here are the masterpieces all done.
Dayton's scary face, Kyle's Yankees, and Camrie's cute face.
Best baby ever. Taryn's first Halloween.
Funny faces.
All cleaned up and cuddling with Grandma.
Halloween breakfast.
We are ready for Trick-or-Treating.
Dayton is a Skeleton Ninja, Camrie is Super Girl, and Taryn is a Pumpkin.

Baby Check

I took Taryn to the Doctors on Friday for her 4 month check-up and had Dayton and Camrie get their flu shots. It is never fun taking all 3 kids at one time, but we made it through with only a few tears and 4 suckers.
While we were there I asked the nurse to see how big all my babies are getting.
Dayton is 46.75" tall and weighs 44.4 lbs
Camrie is 40" tall and weighs 32.4 lbs
Taryn is 24" long and weighs 12.5 lbs
Hanging out waiting for the doctor.
Before the shots.
After the shots.
All better, she took it like a champ.

Time for presents.
Dayton got a new BYU hat.
A new DS game and money from Grandma Jody.
New clothes and more money from Papa and Nana Decker.
A new golf bag from Grandpa Bill and golf things from Dad and Mom.
And what is a party without cake, yum!

It's Offical

There is no doubt about it, Taryn is a thumb sucker.
I tried to get her to take a binki, but she would have none of it. I am not complaning because she has been sleeping though the night since she was just over 2 months old.
My two thumb suckers.

Poor Baby

I know they have to go, but it is so sad every time I have to take the kids to the doctors. Here is Taryn at her 2 month check up so sad because she had to have some shots. Poor thing, they never know whats coming. At first they are shocked and then they scream. But then we got in the car and she went right to sleep. Here she is a few hours later still a little sad showing off her battle wounds.

First Day of 1st Grade

We now have completed 2 weeks of first grade and Dayton loves it. He was most excited about eating in the cafeteria and recess. When he got home from his first day he was so excited to share that they get 3 recesses throughout the day. The other good news for me is that so far he has not gotten a red pin, his has stayed green. We know it wont last, but we will take what we can get.
Here Camrie and I are dropping Dayton off on his first day. The street was lined on both sides with cars and the playground was full of parents with their kids. I asked Dayton if he wanted me to park and walk him in and he said, "No just let me off right up there and you can go." So I did and off he went all by himself.

Taryn's Blessing Day

We blessed Taryn at the church Saturday Aug. 13th. My family has grown so much that we thought it would be a little much to add 30 people to the church meeting. Not to mention that we have church at 9 and my family
does not function well that early in the morning, so trying to get 30 people ready by 8:30 was not our best option. So we still went to the church, we just did it on Saturday and had a wonderful time. Kyle gave Taryn a beautiful blessing and then we did what we do best, eat. We were going to go to the park, but it was so hot we stayed at the church and played. It was wonderful to have so much of our family there for Taryn's special day, and we thoroughly missed the ones who were too far and unable to attend. She is a very loved little girl.
My parents, Papa and Nana Decker.
Most of the group getting ready for cake and ice cream.
