So Much To Be Thankful For

We Spent Thanksgiving with the Decker's down in Provo.  To kick it all off we had a Turkey Bowl against the Budges (our cousins).  They had the speed, but we had the height and in the end I'm not even sure who won. It was just so fun to watch and let the kids run around and sit in the surprisingly warm sun.

Getting ready for turkey dinner. There was about 30 of us there to eat as much as we could. We had turkey, sides, and then pies and cookies.

After dinner and dessert and a little rest it was time for gingerbread houses. One for each kid to frost and decorate with candy.

 Camrie spent over an hour perfecting hers.

 Dayton ate half his candy, put a little on the house, and then put the rest in the house so he could go play.

Tricks and Treats

The night before Halloween we had a party at the church.  So the kids got to dress up twice and got twice the amount of candy.  

 Camrie is a mermaid princess, Taryn is super girl, and Dayton is Victor Cruz.

 Trunk-or-treating at the church. I told Camrie when she was done going around once we would go inside, and she said but I already went around twice and wanted to go a 3rd time when I caught her to stop her.

 And there was face painting.  Camrie got a butterfly on each side of her face and Taryn got a pumpkin.

Here we come. We went out for around 2 hours.  It was a little cold, but that did not stop the kids from hitting every house with lights on.

Taryn only made it out for about 1/2 an hour but she did not care because she just went home and ate her candy with Daddy.

Pumpkin Faces

It is that time again to get messy.  The kids picked their pumpkins and faces and we went to work.

Taryn had no idea what was going on, but was so excited anyway.  I'm pretty sure we could have gotten her to do anything.

Though Dayton wants to love this, he just does not like cleaning the pumpkin.  Every year he lasts just a little bit longer then the year before. Kyle doesn't help the matter any when he does this to him.

 Camrie stuck around to do her face.  She did pick the hardest one.

Birthday Bash

Dayton was so excited for his birthday he could not sleep the night before and was up extra early that morning.  We tried to play it down that we were not really doing much for his birthday, but we had a few surprises for him.

  He woke up to his door covered with balloons and donuts for breakfast.

 I surprised him by checking him and 5 of his buddies out of school early for a birthday party.

I took them and all their scooters to the classic fun center.  It was great because there was nobody there so they pretty much just ran crazy.

This is the pirate cove.  They ran through and climbed all over it. If you look hard you can see Dayton in there somewhere.

And this was really fun.  They turned off the lights and played music while the boys rode around on their scooters.  They played games and had races too.

After the party we went to dinner.  There was one more surprise waiting for Dayton.  Nana Decker came up for his birthday and brought another great buddy and cousin Kaden. They were so excited and inseparable the whole night. They even sat at their own table at dinner.

 Time for presents.  Camrie and Nana hid them all and then Dayton found them.

 Among the gifts were a new tennis racket and tennis balls.

 Who doesn't love money!

 Anything NY Giants is always a bonus.

 And just to keep him diverse he got some BYU stuff too.

And if all that was not enough Nana took Dayton, Kaden and Camrie back to her house for a sleep-over.  I went the next day to get them and we had a family party for both Dayton and I with more presents and cake. We were spoiled by friends and family all weekend.  It was great!
