Play Day

Day 4
We needed a day to chill in between amusement parks.  So we took the kids to Dave and Busters where we pretty much had the place to ourselves,  We ate and played and then did some shopping at the outlet mall.
A little Guitar Hero.
Lots of air hockey.
Some random games.
More air hockey, it was fun because it was a 4 player table.
We then got dinner and headed back to the hotel for some night swimming and relaxation.

California Adventure Land

Day 3
It was time for some rides and games.  We headed to California Adventure Land on Wednesday.  We were all excited for this was our first time ever going to this park. We had a rough start to this day. We decided to walk to the park which was much further then we thought, and then Taryn's shoe broke on the way there.  Then the poor thing got sunscreen in her eyes.  So we are ready for a super fun day and all Taryn was doing is crying.
Our first ride was the Little Mermaid.  It was great for all of us because it was already really hot outside and this ride was inside with AC and all Taryn's tears were gone after seeing Ariel.
Our second ride was a big ferris wheel that was slow and boring and rocked us back and forth and made us all sick, especially Kyle.  So we all agreed that we did not like that ride and will probably never ride it again.
We did enjoy a bugs life.  We got to wear these cool glasses and watch a movie where bugs sprayed us and spit on us and once again it was inside and nice and cool.
More rides.
This is Kyle, Dayton, and Camrie on the one big roller coaster.  Kyle rode it once, I rode it twice and they still wanted to go more so Dayton and Camrie rode it another 5 times by themselves.
The Pixar characters parade.
This was the famous cars ride.  We had to add some tissues to Taryn's shoes to get her just a little bit taller so we could all ride it together. It was worth it.
It was over a hundred that day so we were all pretty hot and tired.  We stayed till the park closed and then watched some of the water colors show but didn't make till the end; we were too tired.

California Beaches

Day 2
After a night out at the ball game and then a dip in the pool we decided to try out the beach.
Taryn in our hotel room window.
The weather was hot and the ocean was just a little cool and the waves were big.  It was the perfect ocean day.
Playing in the sand.
Trying out the water.
It was a little cool but felt great after playing in the sun and sand.
The kids loved it.
The water was pretty strong so the kids could not go out very far without Kyle.
They got knocked down more then a few times.
Taryn thought the "giant sandbox" was pretty awesome.
We all had fun burying each other. Dayton.
Camrie.
Taryn.
Time to build a sand castle.
Taryn also loved the water and we played in there a lot too, but she would not go in it with out me so we have no pictures of her in the water.
We played all day.  We had so much fun, and would have gone back but some of us got a little too burnt to go back again.  After the beach and some dinner we went back to the hotel for some more swimming in the pool.

California Here We Come

We left home for California on Sunday.  We stayed in Henderson NV with some friends and then made it to California on Monday. We left Jaren at home with some friends and Nana Decker. Though it was so hard to leave him, he would not have enjoyed the rides, heat or pool, but the rest of us loved every minute of it.
Day 1
After checking into our hotel we took the kids to a baseball game.  Though to be honest this is something Kyle and I wanted to do more then the kids.  We got there super early to get tickets and for some BP.  We were hoping to get a ball from, form Yankee, Robbie Cano, but really we would take any ball we could get.
It was over a 100 degrees and it felt every bit that hot.  But it was a beautiful park.
Not 2 minutes after getting there Dayton and Camrie both got a ball.  I took Taryn potty so we missed it.
So then we got her one too.  Now we just needed one to take home for Jaren.
Then we got 6.  One for each of us.  Some were tossed up to the kids and Kyle caught a few.
Waiting for the game.
It was so hot but so fun.
Watching the game with dad.
The kids only made it to the 3rd inning. Kyle nor I had ever left a ball game in the 3rd inning.  Next time we might not take the kids.  All they wanted to do was go swimming at the hotel.  So that is what we did.
Dayton has become quite the swimmer and loves to dive for things.
The kids all loved to be thrown by dad.
