We surprised the kids by taking them on a little stay-cation to Park City. They got to miss school and we found a great hotel with a pool and hot tub. We had no plans, we just wanted to swim, relax and play.
On our way to the hotel.
One of the reasons we picked this hotel was because it had an indoor pool. Turns out it was a pool with a roof, so not quite as inside as we were hoping for. The pool was heated, but the air was very cold. But nothing was going to stop us from swimming.
We did however spend lots of time in the big hot tub.
Jaren was not a fan of the pool, but loved the hot tub. It was so steamy most our pictures did not turn out.
On Friday we spent the day at a corn maze fall festival park.
There were all kinds of fun random games, rides and things to play with.
Dayton was such a good brother to take Jaren.
This was really all Jaren wanted to do, plat with and throw little rocks.
We played in the corn maze for a good hour. Dayton would run around and tell us which way to go.
Jaren kept trying to eat the corn.
Taryn was a little tired by this point, so she made Jaren walk so she could ride.
It didn't take much to get her up and playing.
Someone (Kyle) kept throwing corn at me, I kept running and hiding, but it didn't matter. Then I found Kyle and Taryn up on the look out throwing corn at me and Jaren.
A big jumping bubble.
Action shot of Dayton.
Bounce house.
Cinderella carriage.
Taryn was a little reluctant to take this picture. She was careful to not get too close.
This became a family favorite. Kyle brought Jaren here while I took the other kids to play on a bunch of things. We met up with them and everybody played in the "corn beach" for a while.
Hay ride.
Spooky haunted house.
More games.
Some how Dayton always gets picked out of the crowd to do things. This time it was to square dance with the worker.
Pumpkins.
