Disneyland Here We Come

It was finally the day to go to Disneyland. We started our 4 days at California Adventure and then hit Disneyland the next 3 days. Our legs and feet were sore and tired, but I don't think we have ever had more fun.
The first of many, many, many lines. Took Jaren and Taryn on the merry-go-round while Kyle, Dayton and Camrie went on the big roller-coaster.
Jaren was just tall enough to go on most the rides, but I had to go with him. Dayton was upgraded to age 14 for the week so he could ride with Taryn.
Not sure where he learned the tongue thing.
The little Mermaid ride. Jaren loved it. I think he thought it was real.
Jaren did not like standing in lines. He did not understand why we could not just get on the ride and he was all around angry about it. This is him yelling at me while waiting in line.
Thank goodness for strollers and kids finally passing out.
We tried all day to meet up with these guys. It just so happened that they were there the same days as us. Kristen and the kids were there for spring break too. The only thing better then rides, is rides with cousins.
Kyle was crazy enough to take the big kids on the water ride. Kristen nor I wanted to go because it was not very warm and getting dark. Luckily Kristen had ponchos.
We waited all day for the Cars ride. It did not disappoint.
Last ride of the night. The first day was a success.
Day 2 we had one thing on our mind so we headed right to Toontown.
It was time to meet Mickey in person.
We have never had a kid love something like Jaren loves Mickey Mouse. So before he grew out of it we had to take him to Mickey's house.
Lots of fun random things while waiting in line.
Finally it was our turn. Now Jaren can be a train wreck so I was not sure what he would do when he saw him, but it was better then anything I had imagined.
It was like he was "star struck" he walked right up to him and just stared at him. Like he could not believe it was really him. Then he gave him a big hug. It was adorable.

Time for more lines and more rides.
We waited a long time to meet some princesses. Obviously it was for the girls but Dayton came with me to help me with Jaren so I could get pictures. Well... Travis, our guide had other plans for Dayton.
He made Dayton go to each princess and kiss their hand. He would not let the girls in until he did it. Dayton thought he would only have to do it to the first princess, but Travis followed us and made sure he met each princess. Each princess being in character played right along and thanked Dayton. He could not get out of there fast enough, but I really enjoyed it. Dayton was a good sport.
Jaren was just as excited as the girls. It is fun because they don't tell you what princesses are there. It is a surprise.
Then we were lucky to find Aladdin right outside after meeting Cinderella, Jasmine and Snow White.
The Buzz Lightning ride, we had to help kill the bad robots. This was one of Jaren's favorite rides, and I think we rode it at least 10 times.
 Star Tours.
Having this much fun is exhausting.
Our other favorite family ride was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. We also rode this ride at least 10 times. It was another favorite of Jaren's and after a few times riding it he even got a little brave and would put his hands up like the other kids. But then he would put them down as soon as things got fast and hold on tight.
Hanging out in Toon Town.
Killing the line time with suckers.
Our other family favorite (except Jaren) Splash Mountain. We also rode this many times, but the first day we didn't get on till after dark. It was still so fun, but a little cold to be getting wet.
Watching fireworks.
Watching the Lights parade.
Big kids went off on some rides so we went back to Toon Town to see who we could find.
We met Mickey again.
And this time we got to meet Minnie Mouse too.
And play in her house.
Kyle took these 3 on a ride and on their way they found Darth Vader.
More Splash Mountain.
More attacking robots
The magical castle.
We didn't plan it, but they matched.
This was great, but I was very nervous about taking Jaren on Space Mountain. It went so fast and was so dark I don't think he knew to be scared. So of course we did it again the nest day.
It was so crowded that it was on our last day that we finally got pictures at the front of the park. Luckily ran into a friend form home to take our picture.
Then back to the rides.
There was really only one ride Jaren could not ride so we took turns going on the Indiana Jones ride. Somehow Dayton talked Jaren into standing so he could sit in the stroller.
Dayton and my turn to go on Indiana Jones.
We stayed late every night, but the last night we stayed till close so we could get every last minute of fun in. We ended the night and trip with one more ride on Space Mountain. It was a great vacation.
