Halloween

We celebrated all week. We had our church trunk-or-treat on Tuesday, Halloween on Wednesday and crazy hair day on Thursday. We had lots of fun and have lots of candy.

Jaren got to dress up and have a party at school.

Here they are. Ready for lots and lots of candy. Except Dayton, he helped pass candy out and then hung out with friends, lame.

Camrie was a cute Scarecrow.
Taryn was the devil.
Jaren was Batman.
Ryder was the Blue Power Ranger. It is always fun to take kids for the first time and see their reaction to getting candy. He was crying as I dragged him to the neighbors house until they gave him candy. Then he was all smiles and pretty much ran to the rest of the houses after that. He even went into a few houses trying to get more candy.

Pumpkin Faces

It was finally time to carve our pumpkins. It is a bit of a process so we split it into two nights. We gut the pumpkins one night and then carve them the next. This gives us two nights of fun and messes. We let the kids do what they wanted. They cleaned them out, choose the face they wanted and did most the carving. Poor Ryder was left out because we really didn't want his help, so we just kept giving him cookies and he was happy to eat and hang out with us.
We make Dayton stand in the picture but he talked Camrie into cleaning his pumpkin.

We got 4 cookie sheets full of pumpkin seeds to munch on. Good work kids.

The best part of cleaning the pumpkins is playing with the guts, says these weird little girls.

It's carving time.

All that hard work paid off, 5 happy pumpkins.
Don't be fooled by Ryder in his diaper, it was freezing outside.

Cousin Sleepover

Papa and Nana had a sleepover packed with cousins and fun. First we made homemade pizza, (everyone made their own). Then it was cookie decorating time and as if that was not enough we had popcorn with a movie. In between all the cooking and eating the kids were off playing.

I snuck away for a few minutes to meet this sweet little angel. Brady and Barb had Alyssa on the 18th of October.

Corn Maze

It just worked out that Jaren's field trip to the corn maze was during fall break, so we all got to go. It was an all day pass and we had so much fun we went 3 times. The sun was out and it was a perfect day to play. I'm not sure what they liked more the slides or the zip line but nobody liked the slides more than Ryder.

We lasted in the corn maze for maybe 10 minutes, then we cheated, turned around and walked out the entrance.

Look who thinks he is old enough to drive. The sad thing is he is not that far off.
Headed to Chick-fil-a for lunch and then we were back for more.
Took Ryder home to nap, see Dad and have some dinner. I don't know how but these kids talked me into going back when it got dark. I didn't want to because it was cold, but I'm so glad we did because it was tons of fun in the dark.
