With 5 kids and a tramp it is hard to not have some bumps and bruises. This time though it was a little worse then that for poor Jaren. He was a champ after the initial screaming, so much so that we didn't think it was so bad. Turns out it was bad. He broke his shoulder, which apparently it pretty tough to break. Six to eight weeks in a sling with X-rays every few weeks for ten weeks.
Keeping a 5 year old from running, jumping, riding, swinging, and all around playing was tough to say the least.
There was some racing from the tramp to the swing when the fall happened. The girls felt so bad and made him a sign and got him some candy. We also had some sweet friends bring him a treat to help cheer him up.
Even games and coloring were hard with only one hand plus it was his left hand. I would help when I could but he figured out how to do it all by himself and a few cans.
