Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day Weekend started for us Friday afternoon when my brother and his kids came to stay for the weekend. We started off by going to dinner, then a little wiffle ball in the front yard. The kids went to bed too late and were up way to early. Saturday was full of playing. We were outside a lot and even though the weather was not at it's best the kids put in a good effort to play in the sprinklers, twice. But both times they lasted about 10 minutes. It was a nice day, but not hot enough to play in the cold water. Us girls painted our nails, we ate a lot of Mac-n-cheese, and popsicles in between.

Sunday we headed up to my sisters house, in Preston, for a family sleep-over and then Monday was filled with more family as we saw aunts, uncles, cousins, and our cousins kids. We ate so much good food, had horse rides, and got rained on a little, but the highlight was the moon bounce.

Here we are painting our nails. We started with the toes and then the fingers.

Before all the festivities Uncle Mitch brought out his potato gun and bag of potato's. After firing a few, the nieces and nephews lined up for a turn.

Dayton holding the potato gun all by himself...

And of course he had to have a turn.

The most popular toy at the party the moon bounce. Dayton played in this for hours, the kids were enjoying it so much we could not get them out of it when it started raining, and in fact they liked it better because it made everything slippery.

I caught Kyle and my brother Brady trying to sneak a nap.

And in case we were not having enough fun, their were horse rides too. All the kids and some adults rode Matt and Kim's horse's. This was another first for Dayton and he did great.

I did not know if he would get scared and not want to ride, but he never looked back and we had a hard time getting him off.

We put Camrie up there too for a quick picture and as you can see she was so excited and all smiles, but this was the only picture we got because as soon as she realised what was going on she started screaming. And if you look close Dayton is so kindly doing his mean face.
