Summer Time Fun

The summer went by so fast but we had so much fun.  Here are just a few of the things we did.

Swimming with cousins.  Reese, Camrie, Emery, Tayla, and Taryn.

Cousin play dates.  It was too hot to do anything but get wet.  So we got wet on the tramp and the slip-n-slide.

What is summer without a sleepover.

Camrie and Emery on the floor and Taryn and Reese in the beds.  This was a 2 night sleepover so they took turns sleeping on the floor.

We had some adventure up at Deck and Kris cabin. We rode 4 wheelers and razors. They have a new cabin with acres of trails so we spent hours out and about in the mountains.

Jaren did not love it. So he mostly napped while we took turns ridding.

Most the gang. We would put the kids in the razors and drive around.

It was quite a dusty dirty ride.

We even got Nana to got out and drive some of the girls.

More swimming.  It was so fun to swim at Deck and Kristen's pool because it was inside so no sun burn, and pretty much the best slide we have ever been on.

It took several weeks, but Taryn finally went down the slide, and loved it.  We could not keep her off it.

Another treat for us was having some cousins come visit from Virginia. Katie and Justin spent a week with us just hanging out and playing. 

They were trying to help me wash the car, but they were mostly having a water fight.

Another day we went bowling.

And Jaren liked to spin too.

Another trip to the cabin.  Cache took a bunch of kids for a ride.

And Kim came with her family and brought some of their horses.  This was such a treat for all of us.

Dayton was a pro.  He went all by himself. 

I thought this would be a nice joy ride with Kyle, but it was not as much fun as it was terrifying. I am not much for too adventurous, so we went back to get Taryn so Kyle would drive a "little" slower.

Taryn wanted to ride the horses so bad, but she was so nervous that she wouldn't do it.  So we finally got her to ride if I went with her.  Then she was ok and went by herself the next time.
